  • Sharks' Quentin Musty: Tallies twice in Barracuda win

Musty scored two goals in AHL San Jose's 4-3 win over Colorado on Saturday. Musty has four goals and three assists over his last six games, including a trio of multi-point efforts. The winger is up to a total of seven goals and 18 points through 20 outings in his first professional season. The 2023 first-round pick has had almost no trouble adjusting to the AHL, which bodes well for his ability to make the Sharks within a couple of years.

  • Sharks' Quentin Musty: Two-goal effort in overtime win

Musty scored twice in AHL San Jose's 5-4 overtime win over San Diego on Wednesday. Musty's first goal put the Barracuda ahead 4-2 in the second period. When that lead didn't hold, he scored the game-winner in overtime. He's looked sharp in his first AHL campaign, racking up five goals and eight assists over 15 appearances so far. Expect the Sharks to let him continue to marinate in the AHL for now, but he could push for a roster spot in 2026-27.

  • Sharks' Quentin Musty: Makes jump from OHL to AHL

The Sharks loaned Musty from OHL Sudbury to AHL San Jose on Monday. Musty will embark on his professional career after Sudbury was eliminated in the first round of the OHL playoffs against Kingston last week. The left-shot winger amassed 30 goals and 59 points over 33 appearances with the Wolves this season. The 2023 first-round selection (No. 26 overall) is only 19 years old, and considering the Sharks are far from being in win-now mode, Musty should be expected to be given plenty of time to develop with the Barracuda. However, with the potential of playing alongside a gifted center in Macklin Celebrini in the future, Musty is an intriguing player to keep tabs on going forward.

  • Sharks' Quentin Musty: Offensive force in OHL

Musty has been a standout performer with OHL Sudbury in 2024-25, recording 17 goals and 35 points in 22 outings. Musty missed about two months of the season due to injury, per Ben Leeson of the Sudbury Star, but he's been effective when healthy. Although missing a chunk of the campaign obviously isn't good for Musty's development, the 19-year-old could eventually turn into a solid top-six forward for the Sharks, who selected him with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Musty will likely get a long look during next season's training camp, though it wouldn't be surprising if San Jose ultimately decides at that time that he needs more seasoning rather than having him jump right to the NHL from the junior ranks.

  • Sharks' Quentin Musty: Agrees to entry-level deal

Musty signed a three-year, entry-level contract with San Jose on Wednesday. Musty recorded 26 goals, 78 points and 71 PIM in 53 contests with OHL Sudbury in 2022-23. The Sharks selected him with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
