  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Earns first two helpers

Stenberg notched two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.

Stenberg was held off the scoresheet in his first two NHL games, but he was able to get in on the fun as the Blues' offense erupted in this contest. The helpers were his first two points to go with four hits and two blocked shots so far. Stenberg is seeing time on the second line at even strength, but he'll have to work his way into a power-play role to have more widespread fantasy appeal.

  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Receives first NHL call-up

Stenberg was recalled from AHL Springfield on Monday.

Stenberg will help cover for some of the Blues' injuries up front, as Dylan Holloway (ankle) joined a growing list of forwards on injured reserve Monday. The 20-year-old Stenberg was the No. 25 overall pick in 2023, and he has yet to make his NHL debut. The left-shot center has contributed three goals and eight points over 21 appearances with the Thunderbirds this season.

  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Adjusting to North America

Stenberg has picked up seven points over 12 contests with AHL Springfield this season.

Stenberg spent part of the campaign with Malmo of the SHL, earning just six points over 25 contests. He's been much better on the international stage, racking up 21 points over 18 contests while representing Sweden's U20 team, including eight points across seven games at the World Junior Championship. His AHL production is solid so far, and at 19 years old, he still has plenty of room to grow.

  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Inks entry-level deal

Stenberg signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues on Wednesday.

Stenberg provided three goals and six points in 31 outings with Frolunda of the Swedish League in 2023-24. St. Louis took him with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Although the 18-year-old has the potential to someday be a top-six forward with the Blues, he'll likely start the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL.
