  • Bruins' John Farinacci: Heating up in AHL

Farinacci scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Providence's 3-2 overtime win over Cleveland on Saturday.

Farinacci was quiet to start the AHL season, but he's earned all four of his points over the last three games. The 24-year-old has added 13 shots on net and a plus-2 rating this season. He won't be a call-up option for the big club until he shows a better scoring touch, though he did score a goal in his NHL debut at the tail end of 2024-25.

  • Bruins' John Farinacci: Inks one-year deal

Farinacci agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the Bruins on Tuesday, according to Joe Haggerty of Boston Sports Journal.

Farinacci will come with a $775,000 annual cap hit whenever he's on the NHL roster during the upcoming campaign. He provided 10 goals, 38 points and a plus-9 rating over 58 regular-season outings with AHL Providence in 2024-25. The 24-year-old also made his NHL debut in April, scoring his first career goal on just one shot in his lone appearance with Boston. The Bruins are relatively thin up the middle, so Farinacci will look to earn a roster spot out of training camp.

  • Bruins' John Farinacci: Headed back to minors

Farinacci was reassigned to AHL Providence on Wednesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

With the Bruins' season over, the team sent five players to the minors Wednesday, including the 24-year-old Farinacci. During his brief stint in the NHL, the New Jersey native appeared in one game, registering one goal on one shot while logging 10:58 of ice time. Heading into next season, Farinacci will be a restricted free agent and will need a new contract this summer.
