Kings' Carter George: Recalled from OHL
George was summoned from OHL Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday.
The netminder was reassigned to AHL Ontario from the Soo and then recalled to the Kings. George, the Kings' goalie of the future, split his junior season with Owen Sound and the Soo, posting a 23-17-5 record, and was 5-5- in the OHL playoffs, with a 2.36 GAA and a .910 save percentage. The Kings sent Pheonix Copley to AHL Ontario in a corresponding move.

Kings' Carter George: Logs playoff shutout
George recorded a 25-save shutout in OHL Sault Ste. Marie's 4-0 win over London in Game 5 on Friday.
George was dominant in the first-round series, going 4-1 with a 1.41 GAA and a .942 save percentage over five contests. He'll continue to get the bulk of the starts in goal as the Greyhounds head to the second round. The 19-year-old goalie (20 in May) is signed to an entry-level deal, so he'll either play in the OHL or AHL in 2026-27, barring a surprising training camp with the Kings.

Kings' Carter George: Earns another shutout in OHL play
George posted a 37-save shutout in OHL Sault Ste. Marie's 6-0 win over Saginaw on Wednesday.
George improved to 15-10-4 with a 2.72 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 31 appearances this season. He's earned four shutouts this season between the Greyhounds and Owen Sound, which is where he started the campaign. The Kings prospect is looking promising and should be ready to make the jump to the AHL in 2026-27.

George is off to a strong start in the OHL this year, going 5-1-0 over six games. This was his fifth career shutout for the Attack, though he didn't have any in 47 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. George is a Kings prospect and saw some time as an emergency backup during the 2025 playoffs, but he didn't make an appearance. The 19-year-old netminder is likely multiple years away from challenging for a full-time NHL gig.
