  • Wild's Ryder Ritchie: Goal, two assists in BU win

Ritchie scored a goal and added two assists in Boston University's 8-2 win over Simon Fraser University on Saturday.

Ritchie is up to five goals and nine helpers through 19 contests. His scoring pace has been slower in the NCAA than it was last year, when he had 61 points in 53 regular-season games for WHL Medicine Hat. Ritchie, a Wild prospect, still has ample potential to be a decent depth forward in a few years.

  • Wild's Ryder Ritchie: Two points in win Saturday

Ritchie scored a goal and added an assist in Boston University's 5-4 win over Merrimack College on Saturday.

Ritchie is now at four goals and six helpers through 11 games for the Terriers. It's a great start to his NCAA career after he had 61 points in 53 regular-season contests for WHL Medicine Hat in 2024-25. The 19-year-old winger is a second-round pick (2024) of the Wild and has shown plenty of scoring talent in a variety of environments throughout his developmental years.

  • Wild's Ryder Ritchie: Headed for college

Ritchie will join Boston University ahead of the 2025-26 season, Jeff Marek of Sportsnet reports Thursday.

Ritchie lit it up in juniors this year, racking up 29 goals and 32 assists in 53 games with WHL Medicine Hat before adding another 18 points in 18 postseason clashes. Selected by the Wild in the second round of the 2024 NHL Draft, the 18-year-old will attempt to bring that scoring touch to a Terriers squad that came up short in the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey National Championship game in April. If he can score anywhere near his junior numbers, Ritchie won't complete a four-year commitment at BU.

  • Wild's Ryder Ritchie: Points in six straight

Ritchie has eight points in his last six games with WHL Medicine Hat.

Ritchie's provided consistent production in his first season with Medicine Hat, posting 21 goals and 43 points in 40 games. While there are some questions about Ritchie's long-term NHL role, the winger has demonstrated his scoring potential as he looks to make the jump to the professional ranks.
