  • Blue Jackets' Evan Gardner: Collects shutout Sunday

Gardner posted a 28-save shutout in WHL Saskatoon's 4-0 win over Regina on Sunday.

This was Gardner's second shutout of the season. He's done okay this year, but not as well as he did in the previous two campaigns. Gardner's at a 13-8-3 record with a 2.93 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 27 appearances. He's earned nine shutouts in his WHL career and is one away from matching his total from the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Blue Jackets' Evan Gardner: Earns eighth WHL shutout

Gardner posted a 32-save shutout in WHL Saskatoon's 3-0 win over Kamloops on Saturday.

Gardner earned the eighth shutout of his junior career, which is third-most in Blades history. The 19-year-old netminder inked an entry-level deal with the Blue Jackets in March. He's still a few years away from being a true contender for NHL minutes, but he's had excellent numbers throughout his time in the WHL and is off to a 5-1-0 start with a 1.56 GAA and a .942 save percentage in six games this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Evan Gardner: Secures entry-level deal

Gardner agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Columbus on Tuesday.

Gardner is putting together another phenomenal season in the WHL, posting a 22-12-4 record, .911 save percentage and 2.83 GAA. The 19-year-old backstop will likely spend at least another year in juniors before making the jump to the professional ranks, but fantasy players in dynasty formats should be tracking his long-term development.
