Hagens is up to nine goals on the season, scoring five of them over his last three games. The forward has added seven assists and a plus-3 rating over 14 contests. The talented Bruins prospect is well on his way to matching or surpassing last year's 37-point effort over 37 games as a freshman.

Bruins' James Hagens: Scores twice in Friday's win
Hagens scored two goals in Boston College's 7-3 win over the University of Maine on Friday.
Hagens is heating up and now has six goals and seven assists over 12 contests this season. As expected, Hagens is playing a large role for the Eagles this season. The 2025 No. 7 overall pick is projected to be more of a playmaker, but developing a scoring touch in his college career can only help his case for a quick rise to the Bruins' NHL roster in a year or two.

Bruins' James Hagens: Goal, assist in win
Hagens scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Boston College's 7-3 win over UMass-Amherst on Friday.
Hagens has maintained his strong play from last year into a positive start to 2025-26, logging four goals and seven assists over 10 games. The Bruins' top prospect is in his sophomore year and should continue to be a massive part of the Eagles' roster at least for the rest of this campaign. It's unclear if the No. 7 pick from 2025 will sign his entry-level deal this spring or if he'll head back to school for another year of development.
