Predators' Yegor Surin: Setting strong pace in KHL
Surin has earned 10 points over 14 contests for Lokomotiv Yaroslav in the KHL this season.
Surin produced at a decent clip in 2025-26, earning 37 points over 57 playoff contests. He added eight points in 22 playoff outings for the Gagarin Cup-winning team. He's working on a slightly higher scoring pace this season, and if that holds up, he should challenge for the 50-point mark. The 20-year-old forward's contract is up at the end of the campaign, so he may be an option to join the Predators' organization on an entry-level deal for 2027-28 and beyond.

Predators' Vitali Pinchuk: Pockets helper in debut
Pinchuk registered an assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Senators.
Pinchuk made his NHL debut Saturday, logging 11:10 of ice time, including 2:12 on the power play. He filled in on the third line for Mavrik Bourque (upper body). Pinchuk isn't guaranteed to stick in the lineup once Bourque is healthy, but getting his first point in his debut is a good first impression. Expect most of Pinchuk's minutes to come in the bottom six this season.

Predators' Ross Colton: Gets first goal with new team
Colton scored a goal, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Senators.
Colton has filled a third-line role with the Predators to begin the season after he was dealt from the Avalanche in June. The 30-year-old forward has earned two points, six shots on net, 15 hits, five blocked shots, four PIM and an even plus-minus rating over five appearances. Colton has displayed decent depth offense in his career, but his primary fantasy value will come from hits, making him a roster target in banger leagues.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Nets power-play goal in defeat
Marchessault scored a power-play goal on three shots and added three hits in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Senators.
Marchessault doubled Nashville's advantage at 13:10 of the first period, converting a setup from Steven Stamkos and Roman Josi for his first goal of the season. The 35-year-old veteran might not be the player he once was, but he should retain some fantasy appeal as long as he stays in the top line alongside Steven Stamkos. Still, with just one point in five games, he's not worth rostering outside of deep leagues, especially after notching just 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) across 62 regular-season contests in 2025-26.

Predators' Matt Murray: Makes 18 saves in shootout loss
Murray stopped 18 of 20 shots in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Senators.
Murray helped protect a 2-0 first-period lead before conceding a power-play goal to Tim Stutzle in the second. He remained steady for much of the third period, but Drake Batherson tied the contest with 1:23 remaining in regulation, and the Senators would eventually win the game in the shootout. Despite the loss, he delivered a respectable performance. He should remain Nashville's No. 2 goaltender until Justus Annunen (undisclosed) is ready to return, and when that happens, Murray will likely head back to AHL Milwaukee. Given his role, Murray shouldn't carry a ton of fantasy appeal outside of specific matchup-based scenarios.

Predators' Matt Murray: Getting start Saturday
Murray will protect the road goal versus the Senators on Saturday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Murray will make his NHL season debut, giving Juuse Saros a night off after four straight starts. Justus Annunen (undisclosed) still isn't ready to return, but when he is, Murray will likely head back to AHL Milwaukee. The Senators have scored 14 goals over four games this season.

Predators' Mavrik Bourque: Officially out Saturday
Bourque (upper body) won't play Saturday versus the Senators, Nick Kieser of Lower Broad Hockey reports.
Bourque will have to miss at least one game after getting injured Thursday versus Montreal. The 24-year-old will be replaced by Vitali Pinchuk, who is making his NHL debut Saturday. Bourque's next chance to play is Tuesday versus the Golden Knights.

Predators' Ryker Lee: Trio of helpers in MSU win
Lee registered three assists in Michigan State University's 6-2 win over Northern Michigan University on Friday.
Lee stood out with 30 points in 35 games for the Spartans last year. He also had three points five games for Team USA at the World Junior championship. Lee is a Nashville prospect, and it's not clear if he's considering signing his entry-level deal in the spring.

Predators' Jayden Struble: Shipped to Nashville
Struble was traded to the Predators from the Canadiens on Friday in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick.
Struble is set for a change of scenery, which could open the door for Adam Engstrom or David Reinbacher to see more steady playing time for the Canadiens. The 25-year-old Struble failed to log a point or shot in three games this season for Montreal. Last year, he had 12 points, 58 PIM, 115 hits and 32 blocked shots over 59 regular-season outings.

Predators' William Trudeau: Is week-to-week
Trudeau (upper body) was placed on injured reserve and is considered week-to-week, the team announced Friday.
Trudeau has no points, two shots, three hits and two blocks in three outings this season. He exited Thursday's 5-2 win over Montreal because of the injury. Jack Ahcan, who has been a healthy scratch in two of Nashville's four games, is likely to play more regularly while Trudeau is on the shelf.

Predators' Roman Josi: Adds two apples Thursday
Josi tallied two assists, including one on the power play, placed two shots on goal and recorded two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.
Josi picked up his first multi-point game of the 2026-27 season Thursday. He slid the primary helper on Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning goal on a power play late in the third period before adding an assist on Adam Edstrom's second empty-net goal. Across four games this season, the 36-year-old Josi is up to four assists, five points, six shots on net, four hits and six blocked shots. As long as the 16-year NHL veteran can stay healthy, he's poised to be a top-20 blueliner in fantasy with an offensive ceiling that could have him ranked in the top-half of that range by the end of the new season.

Predators' Steven Stamkos: Slides two power-play helpers
Stamkos plated two power-play assists, placed two shots on net and dished out two hits in Thursday's 5-2 win over Montreal.
Stamkos continued his hot start to the new season in Thursday's clash, where he extended his point streak to four games. He played a key role in the 5-2 win, where he had the primary helper on Matthew Wood's power-play tally before picking up the secondary assist on Ryan O'Reilly's go-ahead goal at a man advantage late in the contest. Overall, the 36-year-old Stamkos is up to three assists, six points, 10 shots on net and five hits across four games in 2026-27. Thursday's pair of points also helped the 19-year NHL veteran stay ahead of a point per game across 1,250 regular-season contests, where he now has 635 assists and 1,262 points. He's shown no signs of slowing down to begin the new season, making Stamkos one of the top waiver-wire pickups across all fantasy formats.

Predators' Matthew Wood: Bags power-play goal
Wood recorded a power-play goal, served two PIM and dished out two hits in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.
After penciling in his first point of the new season in Tuesday's clash with Toronto, Wood found the back of the net for his first goal of the campaign on a power play in the final minute of Thursday's second period, effectively tying the game. The 21-year-old forward has moved inside to center for his sophomore campaign, and he's shown no signs of needing an adjustment period. He was an excellent goal scorer as a rookie, posting 17 tallies and 30 points across 71 regular-season games in 2025-26. He's expected to have a top-six role for the majority of the new season, making him an excellent player to roster in dynasty-based fantasy formats, as well as a solid stash in deep redraft leagues.

Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Deposits GWG Thursday
O'Reilly tallied the game-winning goal, placed two shots on net, posted two blocked shots and served two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 win over Montreal.
O'Reilly played the hero in Thursday's contest, as he gave Nashville a 3-2 lead with his power-play goal with just over three minutes remaining in the final period. The 35-year-old center is off to a solid start in 2026-27, where he has a goal, three points, eight shots on net, three hits and four blocked shots across four appearances. While his 74-point outburst in 2025-26 was his first season north of 70 points since the 2018-19 campaign, his early involvement with the Predators' offense in the new season shows that he still has plenty to give. The two-way center is a solid fantasy option in category-based leagues, and even in his 18th NHL season, a projection of 60-plus points is a fair assumption to make for O'Reilly in the 2026-27 campaign.

Predators' Alex Kerfoot: One of each Thursday
Kerfoot tallied a goal, recorded an assist and compiled a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.
Kerfoot's first multi-point game of the campaign helped spark the Predators' comeback Thursday, as he scored the first of five goals for the team. He later picked up a secondary helper on Adam Edstrom's first empty-net tally. Overall, the 32-year-old Kerfoot is up to three points and four shots on net across four games in his first season in Nashville. After playing just 34 games with Utah a year ago, he's currently seeing usage as the Preds' top-line right winger. His increased role is certainly noteworthy, but he's best left on the waiver wire in fantasy until he makes performances such as Thursday's a regular occurrence, which he has proved he's capable of doing across his 10-year NHL career.

Predators' Adam Edstrom: Sinks two empty netters
Edstrom scored two empty-net goals, posted a plus-2 rating, put two shots on net, recorded two blocked shots and dished out two hits in Thursday's 5-2 win over Montreal.
Edstrom delivered two daggers Thursday, as he potted a pair of empty-net tallies within the final three minutes of the contest. He was active in his 10:19 of ice time, remaining involved without the puck by blocking shots and distributing hits. The 25-year-old forward is up to two goals, 10 shots on net, 16 hits and four blocked shots across four appearances in his first season with the Predators. He appears to have solidified his role on Nashville's fourth line, which should keep him in the mix for a career year if he can surpass the nine points he posted in the 2024-25 regular season. Edstrom isn't setting off any fantasy alarms, but if he continues to show steady growth, he could become a streaming option in deep leagues that value banger stats.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Strong showing in win
Saros halted 32 of 34 shots on goal in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.
Saros sustained success Thursday across a large body of work. Despite having a shaky start to the second period, the 31-year-old netminder dialed in down the stretch to keep the Canadiens off the board across the final 32 minutes of the matchup. Across four games in the 2026-27 regular season, he is up to a 2-1-1 record, a 2.72 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 131 shots on goal. With Justus Annunen (undisclosed) on injured reserve, Saros is expected to handle most opportunities between the pipes until the former returns. He'll look to keep momentum on his side if he's called upon for Saturday's clash in Ottawa.
