Hischier logged two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Hischier had a hand in Simon Nemec's second-period tally and also set up Jack Hughes on the empty-netter to seal the win. With five goals and seven assists over his last eight outings, a span that includes four multi-point efforts, Hischier is rolling on offense late in the campaign. The Swiss center is up to 58 points (26 goals, 32 assists), 193 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 54 hits and a minus-6 rating across 73 appearances this season.

There are still some flaws in his game, but Nemec has done well to be a full-time NHL player this year. Hamilton provided a third equalizer for the Devils at 14:32 of the third period, and Jack Hughes put them ahead just 19 seconds later. The 32-year-old Hamilton has played pretty well with 12 points and a plus-1 rating over 16 contests since the Olympic break. He's up to 11 goals, 33 points, 184 shots on net, 81 hits, 72 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 68 appearances this season. It's the first time since 2022-23 that the blueliner has reached double-digit goals.

Hughes' first assist came on the power play. The 24-year-old clutched up late in the game, scoring the go-ahead tally at 14:51 of the third period before adding the empty-netter to seal the deal. He has multiple points in eight of 13 contests in March, racking up 10 goals and 14 helpers this month. For the season, the 24-year-old center is up to 22 tallies, 63 points (21 on the power play), 190 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 52 appearances. Aside from another year disrupted by injuries, Hughes has been just about all fantasy managers could ask for.

Devils' Jake Allen: Picks up win Sunday
Allen stopped 28 of 31 shots in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Allen has allowed 12 goals over his last four outings, but his best performance in that span was his one loss. With the Devils all but officially out of the playoff race, Allen has started to get a bit more playing time to avoid overworking Jacob Markstrom. For the season, Allen is up to 15-16-1 with a 2.69 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 33 appearances, numbers nearly identical to what he did in 2024-25. He's a solid backup and could be worth a look in fantasy when he gets favorable matchups. The Devils' next game is just that as they visit the Rangers on Tuesday, though it will likely be Markstrom between the pipes for that one.

The tally came in the final minute of the third period as Carolina took its foot off the gas. Dadonov had gone without a point in his first 19 games this season, and the 37-year-old even got placed on waivers early this month only to go unclaimed. The five-time 20-goal scorer in the NHL will try to salvage something down the stretch on what has been a lost campaign.

Markstrom stopped 29 of 33 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Carolina, with the Hurricanes' final tally getting scored into an empty net.
The Devils got out-shot 34-19 in the game, but they managed to emerge from the first period with a 1-0 lead before the home side took control. Markstrom saw his three-start win streak snapped, but it was just the second time in 11 outings since the Olympic break that he's given up more than three goals, a stretch in which he's gone 7-4-0 with a 2.81 GAA and .889 save percentage.

Vilen notched three assists in AHL Utica's 5-3 win over Cleveland on Saturday.
Vilen's production has been steady compared to last year -- he has 24 points in 57 games this season, the same total he logged in more games in the 2024-25 regular season. He has gone nine contests without a goal, but he's earned six helpers in that span. The Devils' blue line is still a strength at the NHL level, giving Vilen plenty of time to continue his development with Utica.

Schmelzer, the Comets' captain, hasn't done much on offense this season. He has been held to 22 points (three goals, 19 assists) over 57 appearances this season after logging 44 points in 72 regular-season games last year. At this point in his career, the 32-year-old Schmelzer is just an AHL veteran and is unlikely to see much time, if any, at the NHL level.
