    Analysis

    The suddenly-streaky Devils have been alternating three-game lose and win streaks the past couple of weeks but another surrender tonight vs. VGK would give Sheldon Keefe's side its longest slump of the season. The offense, however, had been functioning decently until running into a hot Jake Oettinger on Wednesday night, scoring at least three in its six previous games, and Jake Allen (likely in nets tonight; 2.48 GAA) has been outperforming Jacob Markstrom lately in goal. VGK's two-game win streak has come by the narrowest margins, and Arika Schmid (the likely starter) has lost his last three starts in the crease. Play Devils on Money Line

    Analysis

    Winnipeg has struggled to find consistency this season and it's a job that only gets more difficult without a Vezina winning goaltender to mask deficiencies. Over their last five games the Jets are basically league average in expected goal share but rank 23rd this season. Conversely Buffalo's play can best be described as erratic despite the underwhelming result last time out vs Philly. All things being equal I'm not close to market price here with the Sabres showing value (true number -105/+105). We'll back the dog on the road with an expectation the Jets inability to generate depth scoring continues here.

    Analysis

    This doesn't strike me as a great matchup for Tulane. While North Texas was destroyed in its last spotlight game against USF, just about everything that could go wrong that night did go wrong. Now the Mean Green will bring one of the most explosive passing offenses out against a Tulane pass defense that's struggled quite a bit this season.

    Analysis

    Both offenses can score, but North Texas does so consistently and regardless of the opponent. They lead the FBS averaging 47 points per game. Defensively is where I trust them more than Tulane. I like how the Mean Green can play strong situational defense on top of being opportunistic as well.

    Analysis

    Half Unit Play. I'm going to take a shot here with UC Davis getting 9.5 points. I have these teams rated closer than the large spread indicates. Both teams have played well the two times they stepped up in class. Hawaii has close losses to Arizona State and Oregon, while UC Davis upset Nevada and played tough at Colorado. I think the Rainbow Warriors' metrics are a bit overrated right now thanks to a soft schedule. Another factor could be turnovers. Hawaii's biggest weakness is turnovers and UC Davis pressures the ball at an above average rate. Ten of the last 13 games between these two have been decided by eight points or less. I'll take the 9.5 for a half unit. Play to 8.5.
