Daniels ended with 18 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal over 29 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 121-114 loss to Houston.
The fifth-year wing wasn't able to keep up his blistering defensive start to the season, but Daniels still put together a productive night. Through three games, Daniels is averaging 16.3 points, 7.0 boards, 4.3 steals and 3.3 assists over 29.0 minutes while shooting a scalding 61.8 percent from the floor.

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Excellent all-around showing
Daniels delivered 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, seven steals and a block across 23 minutes in Friday's 128-81 win over the Hornets.
Daniels needed just 23 minutes to produce an outstanding defensive performance, with his seven steals providing an enormous fantasy boost, and a double-digit steals outing would've been within reach had he played more. His rebounding was equally encouraging, falling one board short of a double-double despite the reduced workload. While that level of steals production is unsustainable, Daniels' ability to generate defensive stats gives him considerable fantasy upside even when his scoring remains modest.

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Dominates season opener
Daniels closed with 20 points (8-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and five steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 132-125 victory over the Magic.
Daniels was in his bag to begin the season, getting it done on both ends of the floor. Coming off a strong showing during the 2025-26 season, Daniels will look to advance his game this year, particularly on the offensive end. Although he missed both of his three-point attempts, the fact that he attempted 13 shots was encouraging. He has a chance to lead the league in steals, which provides fantasy managers with a sense of reassurance when it comes to his overall value.

Daniels remained highly productive across the board in 2025-26, averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.0 steals in 33.2 minutes across 76 regular-season appearances, but he connected on just 18.8 percent of his 1.5 three-point attempts per game. Despite the lack of perimeter shooting, Daniels shot 51.7 percent overall and earned a spot on the All-Defensive Second Team. Hawks' Dyson Daniels: More competition for minutes
Daniels may face increased competition for minutes in Atlanta's backcourt after the Hawks drafted Kingston Flemings with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Atlanta also brought in Aaron Wiggins via free agency, adding another player who will require minutes in the Hawks' backcourt. Daniels saw 46 percent of his minutes at the shooting guard position last season, but that number may dip with Wiggins and Flemings in the mix. Daniels' role will be worth monitoring throughout training camp and the preseason.

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Ejected from Game 6
Daniels was ejected from Thursday's Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Knicks following an altercation, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. He'll finish with three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and one steal in 15 minutes.
Daniels and Mitchell Robinson got into a scuffle while lining up for a free-throw attempt, and it took players from each team to put an end to it. After the officials reviewed the play, Daniels and Robinson were both tossed from the matchup. Daniels' absence shouldn't have much of an impact on the outcome, as the Knicks owned a commanding 72-22 lead in the second quarter at the time of his ejection.
