Armel Traore: Cut loose by Lakers
The Lakers waived Traore on Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Los Angeles will move on from the 22-year-old forward in order to make room for guard Jordan Goodwin on a two-way pact. Traore received little run at the NBA level, appearing in nine games for the Lakers while averaging 1.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.4 minutes.

Traore has appeared in five out of the last six games for the Lakers but will be sidelined Sunday due to a quad injury. Lakers' Armel Traore: Dealing with right hand injury
Traore is expected to be out "for around five days" with swelling in right hand, Lakers head coach JJ Redick told Khobi Price of The Orange County Register.
Traore inked a two-way deal with the Lakers in June, and even though the Lakers will keep close tabs on this injury, it shouldn't affect anything from a fantasy perspective. Traore is expected to suit up for the South Bay Lakers of the G League in 2024-25.
