Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Fills stat sheet in victory
Rotowire
Flagg recorded 14 points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block across 25 minutes in Sunday's 132-115 preseason win over the Rockets.
Flagg struggled with his shot but delivered an impressive playmaking performance, leading Dallas with seven assists and committing just two turnovers. Despite his shooting woes, Flagg still found a way to contribute offensively, getting to the free-throw line eight times. Even with Kyrie Irving in the backcourt, Flagg should be a key playmaking and scoring weapon for the Mavericks ahead of his second year in the league following an impressive rookie season in which he averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 blocks and 1.2 steals across 33.5 minutes in 70 regular-season games.

Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Excels in exhibition
Rotowire
Flagg recorded 19 points (7-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 19 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to Houston.
Flagg was productive in limited action, shooting 50 percent from the field while contributing across multiple categories. The second-year forward also converted all four of his free-throw attempts, offering an encouraging glimpse of his offensive development ahead of the 2026-27 regular season. Flagg figures to remain a central piece of Dallas' offense as the Mavericks work through their revamped rotation.

Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Measures at 6-foot-10
Rotowire
Flagg said at Mavericks Media Day that he has grown from his listed height of 6-foot-9 last season to an official barefoot measurement of 6-foot-10, Marc Stein of The Stein Line reports.
The 19-year-old's continued physical development gives him even more positional size heading into his second NBA season after an impressive rookie campaign. The sky is the limit as Flagg will now benefit from playing alongside a healthy Kyrie Irving in 2026-27.
