Oregon landed a double-double on the recruiting trail Sunday as San Diego (Calif.) twins Tyrell and Tyree Robinson committed to the Ducks in both football and basketball to give each program a pair of talented athletes that will attempt to compete in both sports at the next level.

"I just felt like it was the perfect fit," Tyree told Scout.com. "I like their style of play both offensively and defensively."

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Tyree is a shooting guard in basketball and defensive back in football while his 6-foot-4, 200-pound brother Tyrell plays the same position in basketball and is a linebacker on the gridiron. The twins held offers in both sports from a number of programs and strongly considered Notre Dame, Washington, USC and UCLA among others. The Robinsons took their official visits to Eugene this weekend to take in Oregon's football game against Arizona and left with a strong enough impression to commit to the school.

"My visit was real good," said Tyrell. "Oregon showed me and my brother a lot of things on the visit. It's on another level."

"Everybody was cool with me playing both sports," Tyree said. "They want us to play football and we'll have a guaranteed spot on the basketball court."

The brothers give Oregon 11 football commitments for the class of 2013 and are Dana Altman's first two pledges on the basketball side in the class. Tyree is ranked as Maxpreps No. 3 athlete for football while Tyrell is the No. 8 athlete.
