  • Broncos' KJ Hamler: Goes on IR

Hamler (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Hamler's move to IR was a foregone conclusion after he was diagnosed with a season-ending torn ACL in his left knee following his departure from Sunday's win over the Jets. He'll wrap up his second pro campaign with five receptions for 74 yards on 10 targets across 87 snaps in his three games. Denver signed David Moore off the Raiders' practice squad to provide some extra depth at receiver while Hamler and Jerry Jeudy (ankle) reside on IR.

  • Broncos' KJ Hamler: Suffers torn ACL

Hamler (knee) suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Hamler was unable to put much weight on his left leg as he left Sunday's Week 3 matchup, and he'll miss the remainder of the season after an MRI revealed a torn ACL. The 22-year-old hauled in five of 10 targets for 74 yards across the first three weeks of the season. It's not yet clear whether he'll be ready for the start of camp in 2022, but Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick will continue to serve as the Broncos' top receivers while Jerry Jeudy (ankle) remains sidelined.

  • Broncos' KJ Hamler: Exits game with knee injury

Hamler was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with a left knee injury, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Legwold noted that Hamler didn't put much weight on his leg when he was helped to the locker room by trainers, so it's possible that the wideout could miss some time. Prior to his exit from Sunday's contest, Hamler -- who is slated to undergo and MRI on Monday, per Mike Klis of 9News Denver -- caught one of his three targets for 28 yards. In his absence, Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick will head the Broncos' Week 3 WR corps.

  • Broncos' KJ Hamler: Logs one catch

Hamler caught one of three targets for five yards in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Jaguars.

Hamler's disappointing performance Sunday does not reflect a lack of involvement in the team's offense. In fact, the speedy wideout played 71 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps in Week 2, which was way up from 36 percent in the season opener. The 2020 second-round pick's increase in playing time was expected after Jerry Jeudy was placed on injured reserve due to a high-ankle sprain. Hamler is hard to trust from a fantasy standpoint, but he'll look to get going in another favorable matchup when the Broncos host the Jets in Week 3.
