Williamson was waived with an injury designation Wednesday and went unclaimed. He'll now be forced to miss all of the 2022 season, unless he can reach an injury settlement with the Titans.

Willamson suffered an apparent lower-body injury on Tuesday, per John Glennon of SI.com. Assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers, Williamson will land back on Tennessee's injured reserve.

Williamson has only played in one game all season, and that was with the Falcons in October. Expect the cornerback to remain on the Lions' practice squad for the remainder of the season barring any injuries to Detroit's secondary.

Williamson was elevated from the Falcons' practice squad Saturday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Williamson was likely elevated to Atlanta's active roster in response to fellow cornerback Avery Williams (hamstring) being ruled out for Week 7. According to Rothstein, Williamson could potentially have a role defensively with Richie Grant and Darren Hall defending the slot. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old will play a depth role for the Falcons' matchup with the Dolphins on Sunday.

Williamson signed with the Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The Giants selected Williamson with a seventh-round choice in April's draft, but the Minnesota product never made an appearance for Big Blue. The 23-year-old will now get a chance as a developmental piece for the Falcons, a team that has recently absorbed injuries to its starting safeties Keanu Neal (ankle) and Ricardo Allen (concussion).
