Panthers' Caleb Farley: Plays nine games in 2024
Farley recorded 17 total tackles over nine games in 2024.
Farley, a 2021 first-round pick from Virginia Tech, was added to the Panthers' practice squad in early October after being dropped by the Titans before the season. He was promoted to Carolina's active roster later that month, contributing on special teams and as a reserve cornerback. The 26-year-old played more than 70 percent of the Panthers' defensive snaps in the team's final two games, recording seven total tackles during that span. Now set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Farley will likely sign a one-year prove-it deal, having appeared in just 21 games throughout his four-year NFL career.

Panthers' Caleb Farley: Starting against Tampa Bay
Farley will serve as the Panthers' second starting outside corner against the Buccaneers on Sunday due to Jaycee Horn (hip) being sidelined, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Farley has primarily served on special teams since being signed by the Panthers in mid-November. However, the 2021 first-round pick will get his first start of the season Sunday due to Horn's injury. Farley has started in only two regular-season games since being selected by the Titans in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Panthers' Caleb Farley: Past shoulder issue
Farley (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
The 2021 first-round pick from Virginia Tech appears to be past the shoulder injury that sidelined him for Carolina's Week 14 loss to the Eagles, as indicated by Friday's full practice session. Farley is now expected to serve as one of the Panthers' top special-teamers in Week 15, when the Cowboys travel to Carolina.

Farley (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Farley was able to play through a shoulder injury in Week 13 against the Buccaneers, but he will not play Sunday despite logging a full practice Friday. His next opportunity to play will be Week 15 against the Cowboys on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The cornerback was a limited participant in practice Friday but appears good to go. Farley signed to the Panthers' practice squad in October and was elevated to the active roster for three straight games, the maximum amount allowed, prior to the team's Week 11 bye. Farley then signed to the active roster Nov. 18.

Panthers' Caleb Farley: Gets chance with active roster
Farley was signed to the Panthers' 53-man roster from their practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Farley was elevated from the practice squad for each of the last three games, the maximum amount allowed. During that time, the Virginia Tech product has played a part-time role in the secondary and on special teams, totaling five combined tackles. Barring injuries, he should maintain a similar role in the weeks ahead.

Caleb Farley: Fresh start in Carolina
The Panthers signed Farley to the practice squad Tuesday, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Farley will find a new home in Carolina, and Schultz relays that the 25-year-old corner should soon be elevated to the active roster. Farley's NFL journey has been ravaged with injuries since he was selected by the Titans in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He appeared in just 12 regular-season games in his first two years in the league before sitting out the entire 2023 season due to a back injury. Farley suffered another setback during Titans' training camp when he suffered a hamstring injury, and he was ultimately waived ahead of roster cuts in late August. Should he see time on the active roster, Farley will provide depth in the Panthers' secondary behind staring corners Michael Jackson and Jaycee Horn.

Caleb Farley: Let go by Tennessee
The Titans waived Farley on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Drafted 22nd overall by the Titans in 2021, Farley's career has been derailed by injuries. He appeared in just three games as a rookie, nine in 2022, and then missed all of last season with a back issue. Tennessee has finally thrown in the towel, and Farley can get a fresh start elsewhere.
