Athletics' Nate Orf: Contract selected

Orf's contract was selected from Oakland's alternate training site Sunday.

He takes the roster spot of Chad Pinder (strained hamstring). Orf is capable of playing multiple positions (second base, third base, shortstop, outfield), but he will likely play sparingly down the stretch.
