Cesar Puello: Refuses outright assignment

Puello was outrighted by the Red Sox on Wednesday and elected to become a free agent.

Puello joined the major-league roster for the final several days of the 2020 season and went 3-for-8 with one run and two strikeouts. The 29-year-old will seek to join his fourth team in the last three seasons heading into the offseason.
