Jacob Barnes: Cut by Texas

Barnes was released by the Rangers on Sunday.

Barnes will head to the open market after he produced a 2.21 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with 17 strikeouts over 20.1 innings in 13 appearances with Triple-A Round Rock this season. Based on those numbers, the 33-year-old should get a look from another squad this summer.
