Jacob Barnes: Released by Tigers

Barnes cleared waivers and was released by the Tigers on Saturday.

Barnes made 22 relief appearances for the Tigers this year and posted a 6.10 ERA and 1.45 WHIP while striking out just 10 batters in 20.2 innings. The 32-year-old was designated for assignment Monday and will be able to seek out other opportunities as a free agent.
