Manager Ned Yost said Moustakas' absence from Tuesday's lineup was nothing more than a scheduled rest day, The Associated Press reports.

Moose has been dealing with right knee irritation, and that was obvious Monday when the third baseman made a couple of errant throws to first base while pushing off his plant leg.
