Davis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Sunday against the Angels.

Davis provided the only run of the game for either team with a solo home run in the third inning. He is working primarily as the backup to Rafael Flores and continues to struggle at the plate, with Sunday's homer being his first since July 12. If there is a positive to take from Davis' season, he has set a new career high in home runs with nine.

Campusano went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Campusano took Gerrit Cole deep for a 343-foot long ball to lead off the seventh inning and give the Padres a 4-0 lead. The 27-year-old backstop has started the past four games -- two at catcher, two at designated hitter -- and has gone 4-for-14 with two home runs during that stretch. So long as he continues to swing a hot bat, Campusano should have a fairly clear path to steady playing time.

Ruiz is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Ruiz took a foul tip off his catcher's mask Wednesday, but he passed concussion protocol and returned to the lineup Saturday, finishing 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Harry Ford will step in behind the plate Sunday to catch for lefty Andrew Alvarez.

The Dodgers recalled Alfonzo from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

With Dalton Rushing (elbow) landing on the injured list, Alfonzo will join the major-league club for the second time this season. Alfonzo appeared in 12 games during his previous stint with the Dodgers, slashing .185/.185/.259 across 27 plate appearances. He will serve as the No. 3 catcher behind Will Smith and Hunter Feduccia.

Rushing was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Saturday, with right elbow discomfort.

Rushing did some throwing Saturday as part of a planned progression, and his elbow did not respond well. He underwent imaging Sunday, which showed aggravation in the area, manager Dave Roberts told Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Rushing won't catch again this season, but the team is not ruling out a return as a bench bat. Eliezer Alfonzo was brought up in a corresponding move to bolster the Dodgers' catching depth.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Fermin will hit the bench for the third time in four games and looks like he'll be part of a three-way timeshare at catcher as the season winds down after the Padres recently called up top prospect Ethan Salas from Triple-A El Paso. Though he's a reliable defender behind the plate, Fermin has mustered a lowly .563 OPS over 240 plate appearances on the season.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Alvarez will get a breather Sunday after he started behind the plate in the first two contests of the series. Luis Torrens will handle the catching duties in place of Alvarez.

Flores is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

The Pirates will go with Henry Davis behind the plate Sunday while Flores rests for the second time in the series. Though he's maintained a solid .794 OPS over 105 plate appearances with the Pirates on the season, Flores has fallen into a bit of cold spell lately, going 4-for-30 with a 28.1 percent strikeout rate over his last nine games.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Goodman will hit the bench Sunday after a run of eight straight starts, during which he batted .219 (7-for-32) with three walks, two doubles, four RBI, four runs and 12 strikeouts. Brett Sullivan will instead do the catching for Tanner Gordon while batting seventh in the series finale versus St. Louis.

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto will get a breather after starting the previous four games and going 1-for-13 with two walks and four strikeouts. Garrett Stubbs will step in behind the plate to catch for right-hander Aaron Nola while batting ninth.
