Cole Carrigg CF | COL
Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Knocks in three
Carrigg went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Red Sox.
Carrigg played a key role in the Rockies' win, driving in a run with a single in the seventh inning before doubling in an additional run one frame later. The performance continued a strong homestand for Carrigg, as he's tallied at least one hit in five straight games while also tacking on three runs and a pair of doubles in that span. Carrigg has performed well in his first 58 plate appearances in the majors, striking out at only a 20.7 percent clip while hitting .271 and maintaining a 139 wRC+.

Victor Bericoto LF | SF
Giants' Victor Bericoto: Walk-off blast Wednesday
Bericoto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Athletics.
Bericoto has played sparingly in his time on the big-league roster. The outfielder was in the starting lineup Wednesday, and he delivered some heroics with a walk-off blast versus Elvis Alvarado in the ninth inning. Two of Bericoto's four hits have been solo shots. He's firmly in a reserve role at this time.

Jase Bowen LF | SD
Padres' Jase Bowen: Picks up third steal
Bowen went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Atlanta.
Bowen hadn't collected a hit since June 8 versus the Reds. He's served as a part-time option in the outfield, most often working in right field when Fernando Tatis is at second base. Bowen is hitting just .133 with a .355 OPS, three steals and three runs scored over 32 plate appearances this season.

Samad Taylor LF | SD
Padres' Samad Taylor: Plates two in win
Taylor went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Atlanta.
This was Taylor's second multi-hit effort in a row, and it's his third game this year with multiple RBI. The outfielder has also stolen a base in consecutive contests three times this year, totaling six thefts on seven attempts. He's batting .379 with an .886 OPS, a home run, one double, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored over 16 contests to claim a starting role over the last couple of weeks.

Jose Fermin LF | STL
Cardinals' Jose Fermin: Homer, steal in loss
Fermin went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Fermin stayed in the lineup for a second straight game as the Cardinals faced a left-handed pitcher. While his playing time has remained limited to short-side platoon duties most of the time, Fermin has done well in June. He's batting .364 (16-for-44) over 15 games this month, a span that includes all three of his steals this year. The utility man is hitting .277 with a .730 OPS, three homers, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored and five doubles over 122 plate appearances this season, but he has no path to a more prominent role yet.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Four hits, three doubles in win
O'Hearn went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-1 win over the Mariners.
It was a huge night at the plate for O'Hearn, who'd gone just 1-for-16 over four games prior to Wednesday. He extended Pittsburgh's lead to 7-1 with a two-run double in the seventh inning before driving in a third run with his third double of the contest in the eighth. Overall, O'Hearn is slashing .285/.342/.467 with 11 homers, 44 RBI and 35 runs scored through 266 plate appearances this season.

Drew Gilbert CF | SF
Giants' Drew Gilbert: Hitting bench against lefty
Gilbert is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With lefty Gage Jump on the bump for the Athletics, the left-handed-hitting Gilbert will cede center field to the right-handed-hitting Jonah Cox. Gilbert had started in the Giants' last nine games, going 6-for-24 with a 7:3 BB:K during that span.

Jorge Barrosa LF | HOU
Diamondbacks' Jorge Barrosa: On bench for third straight game
Barrosa is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
After starting in center field in the first two games following Jordan Lawlar's (hamstring) placement on the injured list Saturday, Barrosa now finds himself on the bench for a third straight contest. Rather than getting an extended look in a near-everyday role, Barrosa looks like he'll continue to serve as a fourth outfielder while Tommy Troy instead works as the primary replacement for Lawlar in center.

Juan Soto LF | NYM
Mets' Juan Soto: Sitting out Game 2 of twin bill
Soto (back) is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Cubs.
Soto will wind up sitting out both ends of the twin bill after exiting Tuesday's loss 9-6 loss due left side back tightness. Earlier Wednesday, manager Carlos Mendoza told Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com that a trip to the injured list hasn't been ruled out for Soto, though the Mets look like they'll wait at least one more day to make a decision on that front. Carson Benge will cover left field for the nightcap while Soto remains on the bench.
