Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Nabs steal in win
Carroll went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Padres.
Carroll had gone 0-for-12 with five strikeouts over his previous three games. The outfielder stole six bases over 16 games from July 10-31, and he looks to be keeping up the speed on the basepaths in August. For the season, he's batting .245 with an .810 OPS, 16 steals, 16 home runs, 53 RBI, 69 runs scored, 22 doubles and 12 triples over 111 contests.

Tim Tawa 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: Clubs homer Wednesday
Tawa went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a second RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Padres.
Tawa has gone 7-for-20 with two homers and five RBI over five games in August. It's a nice turnaround for the utility man, who ended July in an 0-for-15 skid. On the year, he's batting .232 with a .687 OPS, six homers, 26 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 170 plate appearances. Tawa has seen most of his time at first base lately, but he provided cover for a resting Nolan Arenado at third in Wednesday's contest.

Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Tigers.

Lawrence Butler RF | ATH
Athletics' Lawrence Butler: Crushes leadoff home run
Butler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.
With a righty on the mound, Butler batted leadoff and started the fireworks early with a towering shot to right field in the first at-bat of the game. Butler is hitting way better since the All-Star break after scuffling for most of the first half (.835 OPS versus .592, respectively) and has an RBI in five of his last eight games. Even with that improved run production, he hasn't driven in multiple runs in a game since June 10, a span of 45 games.

Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: No timeline to return
General manager Ben Cherington said that there is no timeline for Cruz (hand) to return from the injured list, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Cruz was cleared for all baseball activities July 29, seemingly paving the way for him to return from the 60-day injured list Aug. 7. However, Cherington only made a vague statement that Cruz is making progress and on track, with the hope that he returns to games soon. While it sounds like Cruz is still nearing activation, that may not occur until closer to mid-August.

Tyler O'Neill RF | BAL
Orioles' Tyler O'Neill: Hits go-ahead home run
O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Angels.
O'Neill smashed a homer to left after Gunnar Henderson walked to make the lead 2-0 in the fourth. The Orioles traded away Taylor Ward and have Blaze Alexander on the 10-day IL (hand), which opened up more opportunities in the outfield for the scuffling O'Neill. But, things may be looking up for O'Neill after hitting homers in three of his last five games.

Derek Hill CF | PHI
Phillies' Derek Hill: Battling bruised shoulder
Hill was diagnosed with a shoulder contusion following his removal from Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Hill collided with the center-field wall while trying to make a diving catch in the 11th inning. His shoulder appears to have taken most of the damage, though interim manager Don Mattingly said after the game that the team still has some tests to run on Hill and will know more about his health before Thursday's series finale versus Washington.

Garrett Mitchell CF | MIL
Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Two swipes in win
Mitchell went 0-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases and one run scored in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Pirates.
Mitchell is still hitless in August, going 0-for-15 with four walks, eight strikeouts and three steals over five games this month. The outfielder is now 11-for-16 on the basepaths this season. His recent slump has him down to a .257 average and .773 OPS, and he's added eight home runs, 49 RBI, 49 runs scored, 23 doubles and three triples over 103 contests. Mitchell continues to work primarily in a strong-side platoon role, though his playing time has been steady lately since the Brewers have faced just three left-handed starters (one being an opener) since the All-Star break.

Derek Hill CF | PHI
Phillies' Derek Hill: Collides with wall, exits game
Hill was removed from Wednesday's game against the Nationals after colliding with the outfield wall, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Hill leaped headfirst into the fence in center field while trying to make a catch in the 11th inning. After remaining on the ground for a few minutes, he was able to walk off the field under his own power. He'll presumably undergo further evaluation -- possibly for a concussion -- and the Phillies may provide more details on his status in the near future.

John Rave RF | KC
Royals' John Rave: Handling regular role
Rave will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.
Rave will stay in the lineup for a sixth straight game after going 6-for-16 with a solo home run, a stolen base, two doubles and two additional runs since being called up from Triple-A Omaha a week ago. So long as he's hitting well, Rave should have a pathway to a near-everyday role in the Kansas City outfield until Vinnie Pasquantino's (wrist) eventual return from the injured list forces Jac Caglianone off first base.
