Sam Bachman RP | LAA
Angels' Sam Bachman: Back from IL
The Angels reinstated Bachman (forearm) from the injured list Wednesday.
Bachman landed on the injured list in early August due to inflammation in his right forearm. Now, after pitching 2.2 shutout innings across three rehab appearances in the minors, the 26-year-old will return to help the Angels' bullpen get through the final stretch of the regular season. He'll replace the injured Samy Natera (forearm) on the active roster.

Samy Natera Jr. RP | LAA
Angels' Samy Natera: Placed on injured list
The Angels placed Natera on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with left forearm inflammation.
Natera's move to the IL is backdated to Sunday, but he still won't have enough time to make it back before the end of the season. The 26-year-old's rookie campaign was largely successful, as he'll finish the year with a 3.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and a 48:13 K:BB across 31.2 innings. Sam Bachman (forearm) was reinstated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Bryan Baker RP | TB
Rays' Bryan Baker: Nabs third win
Baker (3-2) picked up the win Tuesday, working a perfect ninth inning without a strikeout in a 2-1 victory over the A's.
With the game tied 1-1 and a save situation off the table at home, Baker was called in for the top of the ninth and needed just seven pitches (three strikes) to set down the 2-3-4 hitters for the A's. The right-hander then got rewarded when Junior Caminero walked it off with a solo shot. Baker has been scored upon in only one of his last nine appearances, picking up two wins and three saves during that stretch with a 1.08 ERA and 0.96 WHIP, but a lackluster 6:5 K:BB.

Jack Perkins RP | ATH
Athletics' Jack Perkins: Fans eight in no-decision Tuesday
Perkins didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Rays, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.
In his longest and best performance of the season, Perkins fired 53 of 83 pitches for strikes, and the only run to cross the plate against him came as the result of a passed ball by Jonah Heim, which let Chandler Simpson scamper home from third base. Perkins has had a rough season overall, but the 26-year-old right-hander is providing some optimism for 2027 -- over his last six outings, he's produced a 2.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 33:16 K:BB through 28.1 innings. He's scheduled to make his next start on the road this weekend in Cleveland.

Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Secures 10th save of season
Kittredge earned his 10th save of the season after allowing one unearned run on one hit over one inning in Tuesday's 7-5 extra-innings win over the Mets. He didn't record a strikeout or issue a walk.
Kittredge entered in the 11th inning protecting a three-run advantage and allowed the automatic runner to score on Bo Bichette's two-out RBI single. That brought the potential tying run to the plate, but Kittredge induced a Carson Benge flyball out to end the game. The veteran right-hander has now converted 10 saves this season, and he has lowered his ERA to 3.66. Kittredge has now thrown back-to-back scoreless outings after opening September by allowing four runs over 1.1 frames in his first two appearances of the month.

Alex Hoppe RP | BAL
Orioles' Alex Hoppe: Earns win in extras
Hoppe (1-1) earned the win after allowing one unearned run on one hit while walking one and striking out one over one inning in Tuesday's 7-5 extra-innings victory over the Mets.
Hoppe entered the game in the 10th with Baltimore ahead 4-3 and surrendered a game-tying RBI double to Marcus Semien, with the automatic runner accounting for the unearned run. Hoppe prevented further damage the rest of the way, and Coby Mayo's three-run inside-the-park homer in the following frame then put Baltimore ahead for good, giving Hoppe his first win of the season. Despite the run allowed in the 10th, Hoppe continues to pitch well. He has allowed just one earned run across 12.2 innings and 16 appearances since the beginning of August for a 1.42 ERA, albeit with a 1.66 WHIP and 10:8 K:BB.

Garrett Crochet RP | BOS
Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Tosses bullpen session
Crochet (shoulder) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session at Fenway Park on Tuesday, Perla Paredes of MLB.com reports.
Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy indicated the session went well, but the team will wait to see how Crochet responds Wednesday before determining the left-hander's next step. He's been building up his pitch count and intensity while introducing offspeed and breaking stuff during side sessions leading up to Tuesday's effort. Crochet is attempting to rejoin Boston as a reliever over the final days of the regular season.

Ryan Watson RP | LAA
Angels' Ryan Watson: Secures third save
Watson allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.
Watson has rebounded well after struggling late in August. He's on a seven-inning scoreless streak with a save and five holds over his last eight appearances. Watson got the save chance Tuesday since the Angels have been avoiding having Ben Joyce pitch consecutive days, and he worked a scoreless inning Monday on 20 pitches. For the year, Watson has a 3.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB over 70 innings between the Angels and the Red Sox. He's added three saves, eight holds and two blown saves, with the bulk of his high-leverage work coming with the Angels.

Jacob Latz RP | TEX
Rangers' Jacob Latz: Picks up 30th save
Latz earned the save Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three over 1.2 innings.
Latz preserved the lead and secured the five-out save, his first save of over three outs since Aug. 15. The 30-year-old struck out Andruw Monasterio to escape a bases-loaded jam in the eighth, then punched out two more in the ninth for his 30th save. The southpaw sports a 2.00 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 76:22 K:BB over 67.1 innings this season.

Bradley Hanner RP | NYY
Yankees' Bradley Hanner: Optioned to Triple-A
The Yankees optioned Hanner to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Tuesday's game against the Twins.
Hanner gave up four earned runs in just 1.1 innings during his lone outing after coming up from the minors Friday, and he'll now move back to Triple-A in preparation for Clarke Schmidt's (elbow) return from the injured list Wednesday. Hanner boasts a 2.44 ERA across 55.1 innings at Triple-A this season but has allowed seven earned runs in 5.1 frames with the Yankees.
