  • Elias Diaz C | TEX

Rangers' Elias Diaz: Knocks in two in win

Diaz served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox.

Diaz delivered a pair of runs with a second-inning double to kick off a four-run inning for the Rangers. The catcher has been productive in September and could see more opportunities at DH as the Rangers compete for a postseason berth. Diaz has an .805 OPS with nine RBI over 11 games this month.

  • Angel Martinez LF | CLE

Guardians' Angel Martinez: Avoids serious injury

Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt said Tuesday that Martinez "avoided something major" after exiting Monday's loss with discomfort in his side, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Martinez was held out of Tuesday's game as was Chase DeLauter (wrist), which led to Petey Halpin drawing a start in the outfield. Martinez has a .248/.285/.443 slash line in 2026 and has improved his OPS by 100 points from 2025.

  • Petey Halpin CF | CLE

Guardians' Petey Halpin: Enters Tuesday's lineup

Halpin started in center field and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Halpin was in the lineup as both Chase DeLauter (wrist) and Angel Martinez (side) were held back. When all hands are healthy, Halpin usually works as a pinch runner, pinch hitter or defensive replacement. He's been grinding the last month, going 9-for-49 (.188) over his last 25 games.

  • Wade Meckler LF | LAA

Angels' Wade Meckler: Picks up steal

Meckler went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Meckler logged his first multi-hit effort in nine games with this performance. He's picked up a pair of steals over his last four contests and now has eight steals on the year. The outfielder is batting .297 with a .760 OPS, three home runs, 26 RBI, 39 runs scored and 14 doubles over 87 contests while primarily playing in a strong-side platoon role.

  • Joshua Lowe LF | LAA

Angels' Josh Lowe: Hits go-ahead homer

Lowe went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Lowe went deep off Logan Gilbert in the sixth inning, and that play was the difference in the game. After doubling his hit total for the month, Lowe is 4-for-20 (.200) across 11 games in September while filling a part-time role. He's batting .210 with a .644 OPS, 12 homers, 29 RBI, 28 runs scored, eight doubles and nine stolen bases across 104 contests this season.

  • Ryan Watson RP | LAA

Angels' Ryan Watson: Secures third save

Watson allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Watson has rebounded well after struggling late in August. He's on a seven-inning scoreless streak with a save and five holds over his last eight appearances. Watson got the save chance Tuesday since the Angels have been avoiding having Ben Joyce pitch consecutive days, and he worked a scoreless inning Monday on 20 pitches. For the year, Watson has a 3.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB over 70 innings between the Angels and the Red Sox. He's added three saves, eight holds and two blown saves, with the bulk of his high-leverage work coming with the Angels.

  • Ryan Johnson SP | LAA

Angels' Ryan Johnson: Strong again in win

Johnson (5-8) allowed one run on six hits and a hit batsman while striking out seven and walking none over six innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

This was Johnson's fourth quality start in his last five outings, and he's come away with a win in three of those games. The 24-year-old struggled at times during his early stints in the majors, but he's turned the corner with just 10 runs allowed over 44.1 innings since the start of August. Overall, Johnson sports a 4.88 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 70:39 K:BB through 90.1 innings over 20 games (17 starts) this year. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Twins.

  • Jacob Latz RP | TEX

Rangers' Jacob Latz: Picks up 30th save

Latz earned the save Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three over 1.2 innings.

Latz preserved the lead and secured the five-out save, his first save of over three outs since Aug. 15. The 30-year-old struck out Andruw Monasterio to escape a bases-loaded jam in the eighth, then punched out two more in the ninth for his 30th save. The southpaw sports a 2.00 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 76:22 K:BB over 67.1 innings this season.

Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Handed 10th loss

Gilbert (12-10) allowed two runs on six hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out seven over six innings to take the loss versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Gilbert collected a second consecutive quality start with this performance. He gave up a solo home run to Josh Lowe, which was just the fourth homer he's allowed on the road this season, compared to 24 surrendered in Seattle. Gilbert is at a 3.69 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 194:46 K:BB through 178 innings over 30 starts. The right-hander is within striking distance of the 200-strikeout mark, and he now heads into next week's start at home versus the Astros.
