Langford was patient at the plate, scoring after drawing a walk and stealing second in the second inning before driving in a run on a bases-loaded walk in the sixth. It was a needed performance for the 24-year-old, who entered the game hitting just .153 over 15 September contests. Kumar Rocker SP | TEX

Rocker opened with four scoreless frames before allowing a run in the fifth, throwing 48 of 76 pitches for strikes with only six whiffs. It's clear the Rangers are being cautious with the 26-year-old down the stretch, as he hasn't reached the 80-pitch mark in any of his three September outings. He'll carry a 4.47 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 134:59 K:BB across 143 innings this season into one final home matchup with the Mets next week.

He owns a 2.40 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 239:78 K:BB across 169 innings this season and will try to finish what has been a stellar campaign strong in a road matchup with the Orioles next week.

Sears did not factor into the decision in Friday's 11-8 win over the White Sox, allowing six unearned runs on one hit and three walks while recording two outs in the first inning. He did not register a strikeout.
Sears lacked command but was a victim of poor defense, as the Tigers made two errors with two outs before he surrendered a bases-clearing double. In five games (three starts) with the Tigers, the 24-year-old owns a 5.19 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB across 17.1 innings. With Jack Flaherty (forearm) potentially returning before the end of the season, it's unclear what Sears' role will be in his next appearance.
