Cavaliers' Ricky Rubio: Helped off floor

Rubio was helped off the floor with an apparent leg injury during the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

Rubio was in the midst of a fantastic game with 27 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists. He was holding his left knee after going down, and he wasn't putting any weight on his leg while being helped to the locker room by his teammates. It certainly seems possible Rubio suffered a serious injury, which would be a huge blow to the team since he's having a great year for the succeeding Cavs. For the duration of his absence, with Darius Garland in protocols, more minutes will be available for Kevin Pangos, Denzel Valentine and other backcourt options.
