Mitchell tallied 13 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four assists, two rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 144-128 preseason win over Brooklyn.
Mitchell helped set the pace for Miami's offense while contributing on the defensive end. He did suffer a cut above his right eye which required stitches, but he was able to return to the game. Mitchell's combination of playmaking and defensive activity should keep him firmly involved in the Heat's backcourt rotation.
