Barnes (foot) is out Friday against the Lakers.
Barnes is sitting out for the first time this season. He's cooled off since his scorching-hot start but has still averaged a solid 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over his past eight games. In his absence, more minutes could be available for Marvin Bagley, Chimezie Metu and Maurice Harkless.
