Barnes will start in Monday's exhibition against the Jazz, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Devin Vassell (rest) and Carter Bryant (ankle) are out for Monday's preseason game, so Barnes will draw a spot-start. As a starter last season, Barnes averaged 10.7 points, 2.1 assists and 1.9 triples per contest.
