It was a standout performance in what's otherwise been a disappointing season so far for the 33-year-old guard, who is averaging a career low in points (9.9), rebounds (2.0) and assists (1.6) while shooting 43.2 percent from the field in 20.2 minutes per game.

Holland recorded 12 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and seven rebounds across 20 minutes during Thursday's 116-114 overtime loss to the Mavericks.

Holland's minutes have been pretty low in recent games, but it's worth mentioning that Duncan Robinson left this game with a knee issue and could potentially miss some time. Holland is making the most of his limited minutes this season and is averaging 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 19.5 minutes over his last five outings.

Alvarado closed with seven points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 133-128 overtime victory over Houston.

Alvarado has been a bright spot for the second unit this season, and with a bargain-bin contract, it's no surprise that his name has popped up in the rumor mill with contenders circling. Over his last five outings, Alvarado has averaged 5.8 assists per game to go with 6.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 three-pointers.

Queen accumulated 16 points (7-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks over 35 minutes during Thursday's 133-128 overtime victory over Houston.

Queen recorded his third double-double of the season as the Pelicans picked up an impressive comeback win over the Rockets. Queen is seemingly establishing himself as the face of the franchise, putting up 15.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.6 blocks per contest over his last five outings.

Carter supplied 26 points (11-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 29 minutes during Thursday's 126-115 loss to the Nuggets.

Carter was his team's most efficient shooter from the field, earning a season-high scoring total in Thursday's loss. He has started in each of the last nine contests, averaging 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game over that period. He'll look to extend a streak of three straight games with double-digit points in Utah on Saturday.

Jones totaled 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and eight steals in 38 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 133-128 overtime win over Houston.

Jones showed exactly why he's going to be in such high demand at the trade deadline, and that's if the Pelicans decide to move him -- there's been no indication of that from New Orleans yet. Jones recorded a career-high eight steals in the comeback win and continues to provide a huge lift on both ends of the court since returning from injury.

Thompson totaled 23 points (11-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 41 minutes during Thursday's 133-128 overtime loss to New Orleans.

Thompson eclipsed 20 points for the ninth time this season and for the fifth time in his last seven outings. During that stretch, Thompson has produced averages of 19.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.7 blocks and 3.1 turnovers in 37.8 minutes per contest.

Okogie finished with 10 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 30 minutes during Thursday's 133-128 overtime loss to New Orleans.

The Rockets continue to trust Okogie with stable workloads, as his versatility on both ends of the court has made him an invaluable part of the rotation. Over his last five games, he's averaging 9.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 23.7 minutes per contest.

Embiid (illness) was present at Friday's morning shootaround, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Embiid remains questionable on the injury report for Friday's game against the Knicks, but it's a good sign for Philadelphia that he was able to get some shots up. Presumably, he'll make a decision after warmups. If he can't go, Andre Drummond would likely shoulder a considerable workload at center.

Mitchell ended with 16 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 122-101 win over the Clippers.

Nine of those points came in the fourth quarter, as Mitchell took advantage of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander getting pulled early in the big win. It was the first time in five games that Mitchell scored in double digits, while the seven boards tied his season high. The second-year guard typically doesn't see that kind of shot volume -- he last attempted double-digit field goals against the Jazz on Nov. 21. Through six games (two starts) to begin December, Mitchell is averaging 10.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.2 threes in 26.0 minutes a contest despite shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from long distance.
