  • Josh Hart SF | NY

Knicks' Josh Hart: Ready for season opener

Hart (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the 76ers.

Hart was held out of New York's preseason finale with ankle soreness, but as expected, he'll be ready to go for the 2026-27 regular-season opener. He started 52 of 66 regular-season appearances a year ago, averaging 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals in 30.2 minutes per game.

  • VJ Edgecombe SG | PHI

76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Team option picked up

The 76ers exercised the third-year team option on Edgecombe's contract for the 2027-28 season Monday, Derek Bodner of AllPHLY.com reports.

This was the expected move by Philadelphia, and it will result in Edgecombe taking home $12.2 million during the 2027-28 campaign. The 21-year-old will look to take another step forward in 2026-27 playing alongside plenty of veteran talent in Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

  • Cason Wallace SG | OKC

Thunder's Cason Wallace: Not listed on injury report

Wallace (undisclosed) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Wallace skipped Oklahoma City's final three exhibition games for rest purposes, but he'll be out there for Opening Night. After inking a five-year, $139 million extension, the 23-year-old forward is locked in as a starter for the Thunder, making him an enticing, late-round target given his massive upside in steals.

  • Taurean Prince SF | DET

Pistons' Taurean Prince: Iffy for Tuesday

Prince is questionable for Tuesday's season opener against the Celtics for personal reasons.

Prince might not be able to join the Pistons while attending to a personal matter. The veteran forward may not play meaningful minutes even if he's available, though.

  • Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Available for opener

Williams (heel) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Williams was unable to take the court during the preseason due to a heel injury, but he'll be available for Tuesday's 2026-27 regular-season opener. He's expected to open the year in a backup role behind Isaiah Hartenstein.

  • Thunder's Thomas Sorber: Won't play in season opener

Sorber (knee) won't play in Tuesday's season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Sorber remains without a definitive timeline for his season debut following offseason knee surgery. Once cleared to play, he's expected to operate as frontcourt depth for Oklahoma City.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Available to play

Holmgren (quad) is available for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Holmgren did not play during the preseason due to the quad issue, but he'll be out there for Opening Night. Holmgren was a top-20 player last season with averages of 17.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 triples and 1.9 blocks per contest, and he should provide similar production in his age-24 season.

  • Nikola Topic PG | OKC

Thunder's Nikola Topic: Won't play Tuesday

Topic (back) won't play in Tuesday's season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Topic lacks a concrete timetable for his season debut due to offseason back surgery. He's set to serve as backcourt depth once healthy for the Thunder.

  • Luke Kennard SG | PHO

Suns' Luke Kennard: Ramping up in practice

Kennard (knee) increased his activity in practice Monday, Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic reports.

Coach Jordan Ott mentioned that Kennard fared well in practice, but it seems the team is wanting to monitor him closely over the next day or so before clearing him for Wednesday's opener. "He did more today, for sure, in practice," said Ott. "This was kind of a test day to see exactly where he's at. Tomorrow will be a lower day. Try to be right for Wednesday." Kennard experienced knee soreness near the end of the preseason, forcing him to miss Wednesday's exhibition, but it isn't expected to be long-term issue.

  • Dean Wade PF | PHI

76ers' Dean Wade: Iffy for Tuesday

Wade (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's season opener versus the Knicks, per Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com.

With back-to-back missed practices, Wade appears to be on the wrong side of the questionable tag. Justin Edwards and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would have a chance to enter the streaming mix in deep leagues if Wade is out.
