Bruton (leg) was placed Tuesday on season-ending injured reserve, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports.
Bruton unknowingly played through a fractured fibula during Sunday's loss to the Steelers, but after a post-game MRI confirmed the extent of the injury, his season will come to an early end. With starting safeties T.J. Ward (ankle) and Darian Stewart (hamstring) both still injured, the Broncos signed Shaun Prater on Tuesday.
