Colts' John Hurst: Placed on IR

Hurst (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Hurst signed with the Colts last Tuesday after spending the majority of 2021 on the Buccaneers' practice squad. Although he was likely a longshot to make the Colts' roster, it's still a major blow to the 25-year-old receiver who has yet to make his NFL debut.
