Commanders' Jonathan Williams: Elevated from practice squad

Williams was elevated from the practice squad by the Commanders on Saturday.

Starting running back Brian Robinson has been ruled out for Washington's matchup with the Rams on Sunday, opening a spot on the team's running back depth chart. Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez remain ahead of Williams, who has yet to play in a regular-season game in 2023.
