Eagles' Miles Sanders: Hurts ankle in loss

Sanders suffered an ankle injury in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Giants, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.

It's unclear whether this injury was related to the ankle issue that resulted in Sanders landing on injured reserve earlier this season. If Sanders nor Jordan Howard (knee) can play against the Jets in Week 13, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell would lead the Philadelphia backfield for that favorable matchup. Clarification on Sanders' status should emerge once the Eagles resume practicing Wednesday.
