Panthers' Lonnie Johnson : Moves to active roster

Johnson signed with the Panthers' 53-man roster Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Johnson was on Carolina's practice squad to start the season but was elevated from it for Week 1's loss to the Saints. The veteran safety only appeared on special teams for the matchup, which has typically been his role the last two seasons, while playing with the Titans and Saints.
