Michel rushed 21 times for 43 yards and caught one of four targets for six more yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the 49ers.

Michel's recent string of strong play came to a screeching halt, as he was barely able to move the rock against a stout 49ers front seven. The veteran power back still dominated the backfield touches (22 out of 30 potential RB touches) despite the return of Cam Akers (Achilles), although the latter was expected to be eased into action this week. Michel may see his workhorse role on offense erode with the versatile Akers back in the fold, beginning with next week's wild-card matchup against the Cardinals. A potential timeshare limits the veteran's value, but he should still remain involved in early-down work while getting first crack at goal-line rushing attempts.
