  • Woody Marks RB | HOU

Texans' Woody Marks: Set to play Sunday

Marks (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Kansas City.

After Marks began the week with no activity due to an ankle injury Wednesday, coach DeMeco Ryans told Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle that the rookie fourth-round pick was among a select few DNPs that was expected to be OK for Week 14 action. Marks then progressed to a limited session Thursday and all activity Friday, thereby clearing him to play Sunday. Since the Texans' Week 6 bye, Marks has turned 110 touches into 441 yards from scrimmage and two TDs over the last seven contests, while fellow RB Nick Chubb notched 61 touches for 232 total yards and one TD during that span. As a result, Marks should retain a majority share of the backfield reps among the pair this weekend.

  • Tahj Brooks RB | CIN

    Bengals' Tahj Brooks: Returning Sunday

Brooks (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills.

Brooks was a full practice participant Thursday and Friday, suggesting he's cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in time to suit up Sunday. Now fully healthy, the rookie from Texas Tech is likely to contribute on special teams while playing behind Chase Brown and Samaje Perine in the Bengals' backfield.

  • Kyle Monangai RB | CHI

Bears' Kyle Monangai: Cleared from injury report

Monangai (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Green Bay.

Monangai made it back to full participation Friday after missing Wednesday's practice and being limited Thursday. He should be fine for his usual role as the 1B to D'Andre Swift's 1A, but a matchup with the Packers could make it difficult to pile up rushing volume the way the Bears did in some of their recent games.

  • Ty Chandler RB | MIN

Vikings' Ty Chandler: Questionable but still on IR

Chandler (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Chandler would first have to be officially activated from injured reserve to play Sunday. He has been sidelined since sustaining a knee injury Week 1, but Chandler's window to return to practice opened Wednesday. Even if Chandler's activated ahead of Sunday's game, he's unlikely to play a significant role in Minnesota's backfield mix on offense, though he could factor in as a return man on special teams.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Vikings' Aaron Jones: Cleared to play

Jones (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Washington.

This will be the second time this year that Jones exited a game with an injury and didn't return but then came back to play the next week. He handled his normal workload the previous time, and he's generally been well ahead of Jordan Mason since returning from a multi-week absence in September/October.

  • Devin Neal RB | NO

Saints' Devin Neal: Set to retain lead role

Neal is expected to lead the Saints backfield Sunday against the Buccaneers, as Alvin Kamara (knee) has been ruled out.

Kamara will miss a second consecutive game due to a sprained MCL. In Kamara's absence, Neal rushed 14 times for 47 yards and caught all three of his targets for 22 yards during this past Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Dolphins. Evan Hull and Audric Estime also are on the active roster, but they have combined for five carries and no targets this season.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Missing second consecutive game

Kamara (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Kamara was unable to practice in any capacity for a second consecutive week and will miss a second straight game due to a sprained MCL he sustained in New Orleans' Week 12 loss to the Falcons. Devin Neal is expected to lead the Saints backfield again after turning 17 touches into 69 total yards in this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. Kamara's next chance to take the field will come Sunday, Dec. 14 against the Panthers.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Not practicing Friday

Kamara (knee) isn't practicing Friday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Continued absences from practice make Kamara highly likely to miss a second straight game this Sunday against Tampa Bay. Rookie running back Devin Neal played 81 percent of snaps in last week's loss at Miami.

  • Dylan Sampson RB | CLE

Browns' Dylan Sampson: Questionable for Sunday

Sampson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Titans, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Sampson exited in the second half of this past Sunday's loss to the 49ers due to a calf injury that left him day-to-day. After not practicing Wednesday and Thursday, he was spotted in drills at Friday's session, which was enough for the Browns to give him a chance to play Week 14. Assuming he's confirmed active ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, Sampson will join Jerome Ford as the reserve RBs behind starter Quinshon Judkins.

  • Trey Benson RB | ARI

Cardinals' Trey Benson: Out Week 14, may not return in 2025

Benson (knee) won't play in Sunday's game against the Rams and isn't certain to be activated from injured reserve this season, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

On Friday, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon didn't go into any detail but acknowledged the possibility of Benson missing the rest of the season. The team opened his 21-day practice window two weeks ago, with Benson initially logging limited practices before downgrading to non-participation last Thursday. He hasn't practiced since, leaving Bam Knight and Michael Carter to handle backfield reps, with Emari Demercado (ankle) perhaps now set to reenter the mix after missing Weeks 12 and 13. In order for Benson to play again this season, he would need to be activated from IR by the middle of next week, even if he's not ready to play by next Sunday.
