O'Connor (lower body) is slated to play in Friday's matchup with Tampa Bay, Conor McGahey of Altitude TV reports.
O'Connor has yet to get into the lineup this season, sitting out the first eight games of the year. The 30-year-old winger will be out for another two, at which point he'll meet the requirement for reactivation after being on long-term injured reserve. Once given the all-clear, O'Connor figures to take on a bottom-six role for the Avs.
