Petry had two assists, four shots on net, three hits, three blocked shots and a minor penalty in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over St. Louis.
Petry, who's registered 40-plus points in four consecutive seasons, has severely undershot expectations in 2021-22. Thursday's effort may have been his best of the season. It was his first multi-point outing and gives Petry three points over the last two games. After being the secondary helper on Montreal's first goal, Petry provided the primary assistance on Cole Caufield's game-winner in overtime.
