Devils' Jonathan Bernier: Lands on IR

The Devils placed Bernier on injured reserve with a lower-body injury Friday.

It's not yet clear how severe the injury is and how long the 33-year-old might be sidelined. Thus far in 2021, Bernier has posted a 3.06 GAA and .902 save percentage in 10 games. Akira Schmid joins the Devils from AHL Utica to serve as the backup.
