Flyers' Noah Cates: Dealing with broken foot

Cates' lower-body injury is a broken foot, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Head coach John Tortorella provided the update after Tuesday's game versus the Hurricanes. Cates is already expected to be out for 6-8 weeks with the injury. He may eventually be placed on regular or long-term injured reserve, depending on if the Flyers need a roster spot or cap space, respectively.
