Bellows could be in line for a bigger role with the Islanders when play resumes, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
The Islanders' season is not going as planned, and they will have decisions to make ahead of the March 21 trade deadline. One of those decisions will be whether or not Bellows is a part of the future for the Islanders or if they are better off dealing him for draft picks. Coach Barry Trotz has stated that Bellows deserves more ice time than he has gotten. Bellows will next get a chance to show the Islanders what he can do Wednesday versus the Red Wings.
