Nelson (lower body) will be out for the next 2-4 weeks. In addition, Nelson has been placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
Nelson -- the team's leading goal-scorer with nine tallies -- suffered the injury against Toronto on Sunday, and it's evidently serious enough to keep him out for at least the next seven games. The Islanders have only managed to score a paltry 14 total goals in eight November games, so this is an especially tough loss. Look for further update on Nelson around the first week of December.
