Sorokin allowed four goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Semyon Varlamov to begin the second period of Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers.

It was the worst performance of the year to date for the 26-year-old, who got blitzed for three goals in about three and a half minutes late in his one period of action. Sorokin still has a strong 2.50 GAA and .925 save percentage on the season, but games like this won't elevate him out of a timeshare with Varlamov.
