  • Brent Burns D | COL

Avalanche's Brent Burns: Lights lamp Sunday

Burns scored a goal and placed three shots on net in Sunday's 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

Burns tallied the first goal of the game for the Avs midway through the opening period. The 40-year-old defenseman has four goals, 14 points, 63 shots on net, and 38 blocks through 29 games this season. Burns is one of the NHL's toughest players, having missed just 38 games over the last 12 seasons, but the veteran is showing he still has some scoring touch left with three points in his last five games. Given his top-four role for the league's best team record-wise, Burns should continue to have solid value in most fantasy formats for the remainder of the season.

  • Sabres' Zach Metsa: Brought up from AHL

Metsa was recalled from AHL Rochester on Sunday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

The Sabres assigned Noah Ostlund to the minors in a corresponding move. Metsa's recall provides Buffalo with a sixth defenseman ahead of Monday's road game against Calgary, but it's unclear if he will get a chance to play.

  • Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Won't play Sunday

Lyubushkin (lower body) won't play against Pittsburgh on Sunday, according to Dallas beat writer Robert Triffin.

Lyubushkin is day-to-day and will miss at least one game after getting injured in Friday's 4-1 win over San Jose. He has compiled five assists, 41 blocked shots and 30 hits in 21 appearances this season. Nils Lundkvist (lower body) will return to the lineup and replace Lyubushkin in Sunday's lineup versus the Penguins.

  • Penguins' Jack St. Ivany: Summoned from AHL

St. Ivany (lower body) was recalled from his conditioning loan with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.

St. Ivany generated one goal and four assists in five games during his conditioning assignment. Despite his call-up, he hasn't been added to Pittsburgh's active roster yet and remains on the injured non-roster list for now.

  • Penguins' Harrison Brunicke: Returns from conditioning stint

Brunicke was recalled from his conditioning loan with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.

Brunicke had three assists in five outings during his stint with Pittsburgh's top minor-league affiliate. He has one goal, eight shots on net, 13 blocked shots and four hits in nine NHL appearances this season. Brunicke will be an option for Sunday's game against Dallas, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup.

  • Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Plucks apple in return

Miller notched an assist, two hits and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Predators.

Miller was back in the lineup with 20:04 of ice time after missing a game due to an illness. The 25-year-old has four assists over his last six outings as he continues to hold down a top-four role for the Hurricanes. On the year, he's produced 12 points, 42 shots on net, 29 hits, 20 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 20 contests. If he can sustain that pace on offense, he's got plenty of fantasy value as an all-around contributor.

  • Andrew Peeke D | BOS

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Fills empty cage

Peeke scored an empty-net goal and blocked four shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Devils.

Peeke went a month between points, posting a minus-4 rating with 20 hits and 24 blocked shots over his previous 13 games. The 27-year-old has never put up big scoring numbers, but he plays with enough grit to hold onto a top-four role while the Bruins are without Charlie McAvoy (face) and Henri Jokiharju (undisclosed). For the season, Peeke has five points, 33 shots on net, 42 hits, 67 blocks and a minus-6 rating through 30 appearances.

  • Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Tallies on power play Saturday

Severson scored a power-play goal and went minus-2 in Saturday's 7-6 overtime loss to the Panthers.

Severson scored for the first time since Oct. 18 versus the Lightning. In the 22 contests between goals, he chipped in six assists. The 31-year-old has done enough to be a steady part of the Blue Jackets' top four and second power-play unit throughout the season. He's at nine points, 32 shots on net, 27 hits, 29 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 28 appearances. Severson will push to reach the 30-point mark for the first time in his Columbus tenure.

  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Earns two points Saturday

Jones scored a power-play goal on five shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-3 in Saturday's 7-6 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

Jones ended his four-game point drought with the effort. The 31-year-old's pair of points came as part of the Panthers' three-goal rally over a span of five minutes in the second period. The defenseman is up to four goals, 11 helpers, 50 shots on net, 28 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 27 appearances. Jones continues to see significant usage in the top four and on the first power-play unit.

  • Lightning's Steve Santini: Back to AHL

Santini has been re-assigned to AHL Syracuse, the Lightning announced Sunday.

Santini got into seven games in the few weeks he was at the NHL level, picking up an assist while averaging 12:01 of ice time per night. The 30-year-old was a healthy scratch the last two games, though. In the AHL with Syracuse, he has four assists in 13 games.
