  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Cruises to win

Gustavsson stopped 29 of 31 shots in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Bruins.

The Wild had the first five goals in this game, making it fairly easy work for Gustavsson to pick up his third straight win. He has allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his last nine games to maintain his share of the crease in a split with Jesper Wallstedt. Gustavsson is up to 10-8-3 with a 2.61 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 21 starts this season. If the Wild continue to alternate goalies, Wallstedt would play at home versus the Capitals on Tuesday while Gustavsson would get a road assignment Thursday versus the Blue Jackets.

  • Red Wings' Erik Gustafsson: Sent back to minors

Gustafsson was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday.

John Leonard was recalled by Detroit in a corresponding transaction. Gustafsson has gotten into just one game with the Red Wings this year. The left-shot blueliner will link back up with the Griffins, with whom he's notched one goal, 14 points and a plus-13 rating over 14 appearances in 2025-26.

  • John Leonard LW | DET

Red Wings' John Leonard: Called up by Detroit

Leonard was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday.

Leonard has had a stellar start to the season in the minors, as he leads the AHL with 19 goals to go with 10 assists, two PIM and a plus-14 rating. The 27-year-old hasn't appeared in an NHL game since the 2023-24 season, but he'll provide additional depth for the Red Wings after Mason Appleton (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.

  • Wild's David Jiricek: Dealing with lower-body injury

Jiricek exited Sunday's game against the Bruins due to a lower-body injury, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Head coach John Hynes didn't have an update on Jiricek's status following Sunday's matchup, so the defenseman's status for Tuesday's game against the Capitals isn't yet clear. Jiricek saw a relatively normal workload prior to his departure, as he logged 12:52 of ice time. If Jiricek is unable to suit up against Washington, Matt Kiersted will be a candidate to enter the lineup.

  • Wild's Marcus Johansson: Injured against Boston

Johansson departed Sunday's 6-2 win over the Bruins during the second period due to a lower-body injury, and there was no update on his status postgame, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Johansson logged a power-play assist on Jared Spurgeon's second goal of the season to give the Wild a 1-0 lead midway through the opening frame. The 35-year-old Johansson should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's home matchup versus the Capitals. The veteran winger is up to 11 goals and 26 points across 33 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

    Sabres' Josh Norris: Available Sunday

Norris (illness) will suit up for Sunday's road matchup versus the Kraken, per Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News.

Norris will return to the lineup following a two-game absence. Prior to that short stint on the sidelines, Norris provided two goals and seven points across four contests after returning from an upper-body injury that cost him 24 games. The 26-year-old is expected to center the third line between Noah Ostlund and Alex Tuch on Sunday.

  • Alex Tuch RW | BUF

Sabres' Alex Tuch: Set to return Sunday

Tuch (illness) is slated to play in Sunday's game against the Kraken, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Tuch missed Thursday's game against the Canucks due to an illness, but he took part in pregame warmups Sunday, signaling that he should be back in action following a one-game absence. He has recorded points in five of his last six appearances, logging three goals, two assists, seven blocked shots, four PIM and three hits while averaging 18:45 of ice time across that span.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Between pipes in Seattle

Lyon will patrol the road blue paint Sunday in Seattle, according to Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum.

Lyon is coming off back-to-back victories in Edmonton and Vancouver following a seven-game winless stretch. The 33-year-old has a 2.96 GAA and a .911 save percentage during his modest two-game winning streak. This could be a favorable matchup for Lyon, as the Kraken have dropped seven of their last eight matchups and have generated just 2.52 goals per game this season, which is the second-worst mark in the NHL.

  • Kraken's Mason Marchment: Ruled out for Sunday's game

Marchment has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Buffalo due to an illness.

Marchment had a two-goal performance Friday against Utah, but he'll be a late scratch for Sunday's matchup due to his illness. It's not yet clear whether Marchment will suit up for Tuesday's game against the Avalanche, but Jacob Melanson seems likely to enter the lineup against the Sabres.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Set to start Sunday

Dobes will defend the home crease Sunday against the Oilers, per Eric Engels of Sportsnet.

Dobes has lost his last two outings, conceding a total of seven goals on 32 shots in losses to St. Louis and Tampa Bay. The 24-year-old is 10-5-2 with a 3.15 GAA and an .887 save percentage through 17 appearances this season. With Jacob Fowler now up with the big club and drawing starts, Dobes will need to clean up his game in short order to avoid losing out on playing time.
